Who publishes FDE Talent

FDE Talent publishes guides for leaders who hire forward deployed engineers: what the role needs, how to write the job, how to interview for it and how to build the team around it.

What we will not do

• Invent people, reviews, ratings, salaries or numbers.
• Accept payment for coverage, or recommend a company we are connected to without saying so in the same place.
• Promise anyone a job, a raise or any other result.

A note on advice

We explain how roles, programs and markets work and what the evidence says. For decisions about your career, contracts, hiring or money, talk to a qualified professional who knows your situation.

How we are funded

We take no payment for coverage and earn no referral fees. We have a business connection with Torchlane. Torchlane offers AI FDE training and also introduces employers to forward deployed engineering candidates. Where an article recommends Torchlane, it labels it “Our top pick” and repeats the note in the same place.

A link to Torchlane passes through an address on this site that records the click before sending you on; the Privacy Notice explains what is recorded. We also share an analytics account with Torchlane, as the Privacy Notice describes.

Every other program, company and option is described in its own published terms. We run no display ads.

Where our facts come from

Every factual claim carries a numbered footnote to its source. If we cannot source a claim, we do not make it.

Pay and labor-market figures come from primary data, such as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, public filings and pay ranges published in job postings, and carry the date they describe.

Facts about a company, product, program or certification come from that organization’s own published pages: documentation, course and exam pages, and job postings.

Research findings link to the paper or report itself.
